6th Grade: Introduction to Career Clusters
Help students explore a broad range of career clusters and understand the
variety of job roles within different industries.
Career Interest Assessment: Students take an Interest Assessment to identify
career clusters that align with their interests.
Virtual Career Tours: Use Pathful’s WBL module to introduce students to
different industries and career options.
7th Grade: Exploring Career Pathways and Soft Skills
Students begin to connect their interests to specific career pathways and start
developing soft skills.
Career Exploration Videos: Students use Careers to explore career options
and information (including required education and skills) and watch Job
Shadowing Videos showcasing various career pathways.
Employability Videos and Lessons: Use Employability module to introduce
and develop workplace readiness skills such as communication, problem-
solving, and teamwork.
Career Journals: Students can actively reflect on career interests and the
pathways that resonate with their abilities and goals.
8th Grade: Developing Initial Career Plans and Course Alignment
Students create initial career plans and select high school courses aligned with
their career interests.
Individual Career Planning Tool: Students create digital career or
postsecondary plans, mapping out potential career paths and research the
education needed for those roles.
Pathful Planner: Use Pathful to guide students in selecting high school
courses that align with their chosen career clusters.
Career Awareness Virtual Events: Schools are able to access and organize to
virtual career fairs and guest speaker events to give students insight into
specific career fields.
